Delft Energy

Addressing the challenges of the energy transition, requires close interaction between different energy sources and carriers, between energy generation, storage and use, and between technical and social aspects. Research areas that are all addressed at TU Delft. The Delft Energy Initiative  is committed to coordinating and stimulating this broad energy portfolio.

The initiative serves as a catalyst for collaboration and discussion between scientists and students and between TU Delft and the industry, governments and politicians.

Some specific focus areas are:

  • Develop green battery systems in e4battery
  • Innovation in wind energy in DUWIND
  • sustainable production of chemicals and fuels in e-Refinery
  • accelerating hydrogen research in the H2-platform
  • enabling intelligent, integrated, and inclusive energy systems in PowerWeb
  • transition to a carbon-free built environment in Urban Energy

TU Delft also has an Energy Club, a student-led organisation, committed to address all the energy related issues and to connect students to opportunities in this field.
